Harlow Weave starts as raw New Zealand wool, carded and spun before it ever touches a loom. We pair it with a jute base for structure, so the rug holds its shape under a coffee table or a sofa leg without going flat in one spot. The pile is dense enough to soften footsteps but low enough that doors still clear it. Every batch is dyed with plant-based pigment in small runs, which is why no two rugs are perfectly identical, they carry small variations the way a hand-loomed textile should. The cotton backing keeps the weave stable and the edges from curling. This is a rug meant to sit in a living room for years, not a season.

Some loose fiber shedding is normal in the first weeks with any wool pile rug. Regular vacuuming settles it down.

Can I put this under a dining table? +

It works best in a living room seating area. For a space with chair movement, choose a flatter weave from our Indoor-Outdoor line instead.

How do I clean spills? +

Blot right away with a dry cloth, then a damp cloth with mild soap. Avoid soaking the jute base.

Does it need a rug pad? +
