What Each Rug Is Made Of

The fiber and weave that make up every rug we sell, listed plainly.

Ingredient	What it does	Source
New Zealand Wool Pile	Gives the rug its softness underfoot and its ability to spring back after furniture is moved.	Sourced from wool graded for rug-weight yarn, not garment-weight yarn.
Jute Backing	Holds the knots in place and keeps the rug lying flat on the floor.	Plant fiber woven into the base before the pile is tied on.
Cotton Fringe and Edge Binding	Stops the edge from fraying and keeps the corners from curling up over time.	Cotton yarn stitched along the border by hand.

Sourcing

We buy from certified weaving mills that document origin and batch. Certificates are kept on file for every shipment.

Each batch is inspected for weave density and color consistency before it leaves our warehouse. Anything outside spec does not ship.

The tag lists fiber content in order of quantity, dye method included. What's on the tag is what's under your feet.

Material details describe the rug's composition. They are not a performance guarantee; wear depends on traffic, sunlight and care.
